Laurinda Bedingfield was born in Somerville in 1953, became a civil/geotech engineer then an artist and is now showing abstract acrylic paintings in a new location in Davis Square for this 2026 SOS. I am happy to have moved into a new series of work this year. I am experimenting with process and have been heavy into it.. Trying to suspend any expectations or 'ideas' while moving paint around and making marks. At some point, it all comes together for me after much problem solving and discovery. That is a good day painting.
