Artist's Statement

My multimedia art practice is letting my octopus mind play— with color, spontaneity, and the subconscious of a Chinese diaspora and a thousands-year old aesthetic heritage. My creative journey is a primary way I heal from the past, process the present, and celebrate the awes that connect us across generations and places. 

I primarily make collages, prints, and other multimedia work but I am always playing with new materials and mediums.  For the very first time, I will also be selling one-of-kind handmade earrings that is inspired by Contemporary Chinese/ Hanfu/ 新中式 styles。Making earrings is one of my first loves that sparked so many key turning points in my creative journey. 

One of greatest beauties in art-making is in connection, community building, and collective liberation.  Looking forward to Open Studios for this opportunity to meet y'all!
