Artist's Statement
I like to make warm and hefty pots you won't want to put down. My eye is drawn to the textures on display when nature meets the built world, such as worn down bricks, weathered paint, rusted metal, a cracked leather couch or lichen on a wall. I work in cone 6 oxidation, predominantly, with wood and soda firing whenever possible. I've been learning and developing as a potter since beginning my education at the School for Professional Crafts at the Worcester Center for Crafts in 1998.
